   The BMW 3 Series is a line of sedans and coupes designed by the German automaker BMW. This series takes over in May 1975 of the BMW 2002, taking over most of its features, while adding many changes, especially in engines. Series 3 was once the smallest model produced by BMW, before the place is taken by the 1 Series in 2004. It is also the best-selling model in the world in 2005 in the category of luxury cars mid-range and accounting for almost 40% of the German manufacturer sales.

 Unveiled to the public on 14 October 2011, the sixth generation of the 3 Series is F30 code and draws its lines on the latest generation 5 Series (f10, f11).

9 cm longer than the fifth generation, the E90, the new 3 Series F30 still remains one of the shortest in the class. Three engines will be available at launch: two species and one diesel. Available in two power levels (163 hp Efficient Dynamics and 184 hp), the diesel engine designated 20d is a 4 cylinder in-line 2 liters. The two petrol engines will remain the two most powerful them until the arrival of the M3 in 2013, since it is the 4-cylinder 2-liter 245 hp (designated 28i) and the 6-cylinder in-line 3 liter 306 hp (referred 335i). Four engines were added to the range in autumn 2012: 16d (4 cylinder diesel 2-liter 116 hp), the 18d (4 cylinder diesel 2-liter 143 hp), the 16i (4-cylinder 1.6-liter petrol 136 hp) and 20i (4-cylinder 2-liter petrol 184 hp). The 25d engine (4-cylinder diesel 2-liter 218 hp) and 35d (6 cylinder diesel 3-liter 313 hp) were recently added to the catalog. In addition of the sedan, touring and GT, a coupe version and a Coupé-Cabriolet will be launched in 2013-2014, and will take the name M4 Series4. coiffera range by 2014.
