BMW M3 sport car :
The BMW M3 F80 will replace from the summer of 2014 the older
generation of BMW M3 E90, the coupe version has now taken the name of BMW M4.
It is mainly based on the 3 Series F30 appeared in 2012, and moreover takes the
N54 engine of 335i, a six-cylinder with 4 valves per cylinder and direct
injection BiTurbo of 2979 cm3 but whose power goes 431ch for a torque of 550
nm.
The main interest of this BMW M3 is the move to turbocharged
engines: while it was powered by a 4 liter V8 with strong character, especially
with his red zone up to 9000 rev / min, the BMW M3 starts the downsizing and
now uses turbocharging. While this change is decried by purists, it allows him
to associate impressive performance and respect for the environment with CO2
emissions per kilometer and a decrease in consumption. However, turbochargers
should not unduly influenced the character of the engine, BMW has already
proven itself on the S64Tü engine of the BMW M5 F10.
For now, on paper at least, this generation of BMW M3 should
outpace its rivals, the Mercedes C63 AMG (sedan) and Sportback Audi RS4, due to
its low weight (remember that it weighs as much as a M3 E46, a coupe with 100
horsepower less), and chassis specially reviewed by Motorsport workshops to
ensure optimal performance.
