Lamborghini Huracan supercar:
The
Lamborghini LP 610-4 Huracán is the last car in the segment of luxury super
sports cars produced by Lamborghini. Heir to the Gallardo officially debuted at
the Geneva Motor Show 2014. The Huracán combines high performance with a great
ease of driving to an innovative technology, redefining the driving experience
of the super sports cars. The Huracán is produced at the Lamborghini in
Sant'Agata Bolognese. Deliveries to the first customers are scheduled for the
spring of 2014.
Name:
Like most of
the names that represent models Lamborghini, Huracán is inspired by the world
of bullfighting. The fighting bull breed Spanish Huracán "Count de La
Patilla", became famous for the extraordinary courage and the strong
inclination to attack. He fought in August of 1879 in Alicante, where he
remained undefeated thus entering into the legend of fighting bulls.
Design:
The silhouette
of the Lamborghini Huracán combines front and rear passenger compartment via a
single line: the side windows meet, creating a hexagonal shape embedded in the
profile of the car. High technology and craftsmanship made in Italy give life
to a high tech and luxurious design, characterized by sharp edges, monolithic
volumes, sculpted and taut surfaces. Innovative element of design is the FULL-LED
lighting system that, for the first time in the supersports segment luxury,
include this technology in almost all the lights of the car.
Chassis and engine:
The frame of
the hybrid Lamborghini Huracán is an integrated structure in carbon and aluminum
elements. With a dry weight of only 1,422 kg, the body achieves a power /
weight ratio of 2.33 kilograms per hp, and also ensures a precision driving
like a racing car. The V10 engine from 5.2 liters of displacement develops 448
kW / 610 hp at 8,250 rev / min and a torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 r / min. In the
system to "Direct Injection Stratified" IDS direct injection and
indirect fuel are combined to provide more power and torque, together with fuel
consumption and emissions that meet the standards set by the regulations Euro
6. The top speed is over 325 km / h, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h
takes place just in 3.2 seconds and from 0 to 200 Km / h in 9.9 seconds.
Interior:
The interior
is dominated by an innovative interior: the screen color TFT 12.3 inch displays
all the necessary information to the driver, the tachometer to the maps of the
GPS navigator to the functions of the infotainment system, which can be
configured in different ways. The interiors are made of soft leather and
customizable Alcantara, while the sports seats include a standard electric
adjustment of the backrest and longitudinal.
Sport activity:
In 2014 it was
realized the Super Trofeo competition version of Huracan destined to compete in
the Blancpain Super Trofeo together with the previous Gallardo Super Trofeo.
Presented at the beauty contest at Pebble Beach, the car featured numerous
additional aerodynamic components made of carbon fiber and the safety equipment
was built by conforming to the regulations set by the FIA. As tires were
employees of the Pirelli P Zero racing.
Driving dynamics:
The power of
the V10 is discharged to the ground via the transmission "Lamborghini
Double Clutch" (LDF) combined with four-wheel drive with electronic
control. On Huracán can be called different driving modes via a switch on the
steering wheel, with three settings of dynamical systems available: ROAD, SPORT
and RACE. The various settings affect the set-up of various systems such as the
reactions of the engine and transmission, the sound of the car, four-wheel
drive and electronic stability control. Huracán on the carbon-ceramic brakes
are part of the standard for excellent braking performance. The steering with
variable sensitivity "Lamborghini Dynamic Steering" and suspension
with magneto-rheological dampers control are available as an option, allowing
you to customize even the driving dynamics of Huracán.
A Lamborghini
LP610-4 Huracán was donated to the Italian State Police is the third case of
sports cars donated by automakers to Italian police, after the two Gallardo
delivered to the Police and the Lotus Evora S delivered the weapon of
Carabinieri.
