Mercedes SLS AMG supercar information:

Mercedes SLS AMG supercar:

The SLS was conducted under the supervision of designer Gorden Wagener for its exterior and Hartmut Sinkwitz for interior design. It incorporates many aspects of the 300 SL from 1954 including a long hood that positions the cabin almost at the rear axle and the famous doors that open "butterfly", although the Germans rather use Flügeltür expression ("wing doors" in English) to describe this mechanism. Mercedes-Benz then seems to be in line with many other manufacturers such as Fiat with the model 500 or Mini who based the design of some models of other older then making "neo-retro" cars. However, designers are defended by arguing that the SLS was totally in tune with the times and was a modern interpretation of the 300 SL they had kept the general proportions.

The interior is sleek but still expressive, combining everyday use as a sport. Significant attention has been focused on the center console is the first remarkable element with the type of door used. The interior styling is inspired by aviation, especially with aluminum air vents reminiscent of reactors or the gear lever "Y". The materials used for the rest are focusing around the leather, but also of aluminum atoms. Much of the carrier remains flexible; the choice of colors for the leather or the center console which can select an aluminum or carbon coating.

When moving to Germany initially assigned to photograph the Nürburgring and the cabin and the chassis of the car to be modeled in Gran Turismo 5 racing simulator, the game's development team, Polyphony Digital are so fell under the spell of the car in terms of sports performance and visually, the chief designer of the game decided that the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG would be present on the cover of the game Gran Turismo 5 PlayStation 3, released November 24, 2010.
